Avery is the founder of ACC TaxPro & Co.. She is a dedicated CPA with over 16 years of client-serving experience, including providing U.S. income tax compliance and reporting services, preparing and reviewing US income tax provisions, and providing US tax consulting services on a wide range of issues including cross border planning, structuring, financing and various treaty issues.

Avery started her career in the Virginia office of Ernst & Young LLP as a tax professional in the Tax Compliance and Reporting Group. Here she focused on providing compliance and provision services for large corporate clients with multi-national operations. Later in her career, she spent 3 years at EY LLP in Vancouver, Canada, where she assisted Large Canadian companies with their US inbound transactions. She served a wide range of clients, including retail, mining, utility and service companies.

Prior to starting her own practice, Avery spent 2 years in Shanghai, China as a Senior Tax Manager. While there, she was part of Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Organization in Asia Pacific. Avery specifically focused on providing US tax advisory services to private equity, asset management, real estate, banking, and insurance clients on US tax related matters. Her involvement in the initial investment platform setup for some of the largest Chinese real estate investments in the United States proved to be instrumental. She was also able to assist those investors with U.S. tax compliance and reporting services.

At ACC TaxPro & Co., Avery continues to serve as an advisor for many companies ranging from new business startups to medium size local businesses, assisting them with various tax matters. Avery also assists with individual clients with their retirement tax planning. Avery further utilizes her extensive tax knowledge to assist clients with entity formation and advise them on tax planning issues.
